Teddy and grubby cannot swim and many children do not realize this. I have restored bears from the bottom of swimming pools, bathtubs and hurricane areas where the house floods. I do take all Worlds of Wonder Teddys and Grubbys as trade in or repairs. You can just send the Bear and/or Grubby as is. It is however helpful if you do the following, although it is not necessary: -Unscrew the 4 screws on his back and take off the back cover. (including tape player and electronics if they were exposed to salt water) -Submerge just long enough to get salt water off everything. -Dry him inside and out in front of a cool air source (fan) NOT WARM AIR AS IN HAIR DRYER. -Then pack him and send him. You can pull apart fabric and foam to dry. This helps stop the salt water damage and mold |
